Outdoor Adventures

We are Morgan and Devin Errington (Devin is the 12 year old boy and Morgan is the 9 year old girl).

We have lots of fun activities up here. We enjoy horse shoes, nature walks, swimming, canoe/kayak, playing board games, exploring places, fishing, watch a movie when it is raining, drawing nature pictures, treasure hunts, scavenger hunts, looking at the stars, blueberry and raspberry eating, catching and identifying insects.... If you come up here believe me, you never get bored.

Fishing is very easy and fun. We can catch walleye, perch, and northern pike or so called the fresh water wolves. There are alot of excellent places where we can catch fish. If you do not have your own fishing equipment, you can rent or buy equipment at our resort.

Swimming is very easy and fun too. We have a big rock and we have a big raft to jump off of. If there is anyone who needs a life jacket that is ok because we have a big supply of them in many different sizes. The best swimming area is right in front of our lodge so your parents can relax in the lodge, sunbathe or go swimming with us.

We have a lot of different nature walks at different islands. You see a lot of animals and plants on the different islands maybe some that you have never seen or had in your country before. We can show you many different plants and mushrooms. We know where there is Labrador tea, pink lady slipper orchids, mint plants, Indian pipe, blue flag irises, wild blue berries, wild raspberries, wild roses, bunch berries and many more.

We can use the canoes and kayaks for exploring the marshes. In the marshes you will find a whole bunch of different birds and plants. Sometimes you will even find moose, but you should not get too close to them. You might find bird nests mostly duck nests. You will also see many different kinds of Dragon flies, our favourite insect because they eat all the mosquitos and blackflies. They are also really cool to watch hatching because they crawl out of the water as a big, ugly bug that the dragon flies hatch out of. There are many places to explore and canoeing and kayaking is very fun.

Sometimes we do treasure hunts where you have pieces of paper and if you find out the clue it tells you where another piece of paper is. If you don't have a clue where it is people around the resort can give you more clues. Everyone wins in this game no one loses.

We have a lot of wild Blue Berries and Raspberries around our resort. Sometimes we have a blueberry contest. It is simple all you have to do is pick the most blueberries in one minute and you win. But of coarse after the contest you can eat them. After that we can pick more blueberries. We can show you where all the really good ripe blue berries, strawberries, and raspberries are.

A scavenger hunt is where we hide something and you have to find it. There will be a starting point. In this game its kind of like a race, but it does not matter if you win or lose the main rule in the kids club is to have FUN!!! You have a choice of race or no race.

For naming the stars you will most of the time have an excellent view of seeing them. Sometimes you don't have a good view because of the fog and the clouds. We have books on the night sky, but you will have to share them. Some times we also see very good Northern Lights or Meteor Showers.

Horse shoes is a game where you have to get a ringer to win. It is an outdoor sport. You can use either plastic or metal horseshoes. You can chose how close you want to be.

Catching insects is simple too. All you do is get a net and concentrate on one insect at a time and just try to catch it in the net. Wehave books to identify all the insects. If you want to collect them we can show you how to dry them.

For indoor activities we have watching a movie, drawing and colouring, play board games and many more. We will be mostly playing these games on rainy days.

All of these activities are lots fun for us, and we woud like to share them with you.
