Algoma
Central Railway Passenger Train
Train travel through the Algoma wilderness is unique,
comfortable, relaxing and very very scenic. Trains arrive at Lake
Wabatongushi on Thursday, Saturday, Monday and trains depart on
Friday, Sunday, Tuesday. You
can depart from either Sault Ste Marie or Hawk Junction. From
Sault Ste Marie the 206 mile trip takes approximately 7.5 hours.
Hawk Junction is a 2.5 to 3 hour drive north of Sault Ste Marie.
From Hawk Junction it is a 1.5 hour train ride to Lake Wabatongushi.
If you would like to take the train one way and a float plane
the other, it can be easily arranged.
