Our Wilderness Island Resort is 206 miles north of Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. There are no other resorts on the north end of Lake Wabatongushi, in the Chapeau Game Perserve. We are accessible by the famous Algoma Central Railway or by float plane.

Board the train at Sault Ste. Marie in the morning and take a delightfull seven hour journey into the Canadian Shield through majestic Agawa Cannon, past Hawk Junction to the Lake Wabatongushi flag stop.
OR, follow the scenic Trans Canada Highway (HWY 17 North) along the shores of Lake Superior, from Sault Ste Marie 142 miles north to Wawa, 12 miles east on Chapleau Highway 101, then 4 miles north on Highway 547 to Hawk Junction. Board the train about mid afternoon and arrive at Lake Wabatongushi an hour and a half later.

Your Hosts, the Erringtons, will meet you at the railroad landing and escort you on the 15 minute boat ride to the island. You may also take a float plane directly to our island resort from Hawk Junction or Sault Ste. Marie, using one of the local air services.
